What does FOTL mean?

The short answer

Panini's own boxes, with their own parallels

FOTL stands for First Off The Line. They are boxes of a new product that Panini sells itself, on its own site, and they hold parallels that aren't in any other box.

On a card, FOTL says which box it came from. A listing for a "FOTL Black Snakeskin 1/1" is a parallel that was only ever in those boxes.

Buying one

Usually a Dutch auction

• The price starts high and drops. It comes down until the boxes sell. The first buyers pay the most.
• Only at Panini. A shop's hobby box of the same product is not a First Off The Line box.
• What's listed now. New releases shows the First Off The Line boxes Panini has up, marked as such.
